Kempen has an historical city center...
...and was formerly surrounded by a wall and a trench. These are mostly still preserved. As in many cities at Niederrhein the center of Kempen is formed by a church, in this case the St. Marien church. One of the unique sights of Kempen is the towermill, which is integrated in the citywall and which was already built in 1481.For more information: www.kempen.de
